About the Role
The Medicines Management Technician is a pivotal role within the Pharmacy team, supporting the Lead for e-Prescribing and Medicines Management and the Lead Pharmacist for Haematology & Oncology in running a technician-based medicines management service and maintaining the SACT e-Prescribing portfolio. The Medicines Management Technician will provide the highest standards of patient-focused care ensuring accurate drug histories, medicines reconciliation, evidence-based medication advice and timely discharge of patients.
The Medicines Management Technician plays a major role in the continuous development of LOC as a member of the Pharmacy team, providing training to junior members of staff and participating in quality and improvement processes across the department.
Skills & Experience:
Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacy technician
NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services and a BTEC in Pharmaceutical science (or equivalent qualification and underpinning knowledge)
Extensive experience as a pharmacy technician working in a hospital, community pharmacy or primary care
