Job purpose

The Commercial Liaison Executive will target and drive customers to order from our portfolio improving compliance against the contracts within the NHS Hospitals and gain new business within the Private Hospitals.

Under the guidance of the Commercial Liaison Team Leader the role holder is responsible for planning and analysing sales data and monitoring the stock levels within wholesale prior to all call campaigns, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction at all times.

The role holder will implement any launch initiatives as set by the UK Commercial Manager – Hospitals for all new product launches.

Main Responsibilities and Duties


  • Support the UK Commercial function in the achievement of the sales and profit targets for the business unit
  • Work to ensure that all the teams sales targets are met by building effective customer relationships
  • Monitor performance using trackers
  • Monitor compliance of the NHS contracts to ensure compliance of 100% + is achieved
  • Monitor stock levels within the wholesalers and address accordingly
  • Monitor and record uptake of services offered and targeted as a result of call campaigns
  • Analysing sales data
  • Required to provide weekly reports to the UK Commercial Manager – Hospitals
  • Processing off contract claims and redirect where necessary
  • Generate all other reports as and when requested by the UK Commercial Manager – Hospitals


  • To act as an interface with customers
  • Make outbound calls to customers to promote the benefits/build loyalty to all our product portfolio to both existing and new customers using specific key messages
  • Develop strong working relationships with all key personnel within the business unit and all associated contacts within the organisation
  • Drive compliance through targeted calling
  • Manage own customer accounts within specific regions
  • Build relationships with customers over time through repeated and reliable contact
  • Improve the contact rate within our customer base
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with customers
  • Make outbound calls
  • Developing customer relationships and gaining an understanding of what motivates the customer, developing a network of contacts for information share
  • Effectively handle all customer requests
  • Ensure that telephone calls are answered in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaise with other departments as necessary
  • To work as part of a wider team or independently where appropriate
  • Provide information / support to other areas of the business when required
  • Responsible for providing information, and data to all customers


  • Understand the company strategy and be able to communicate externally as required
  • Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge of all focus products, competitor and substitute products
  • Gather and communicate customer, competitor and market information to the organisation
  • Follow supplied scripts to ensure consistent messaging across the customer base
  • Follow supplied campaign briefs
  • Ensure pre-call preparation is completed to ensure effective targeting of customers and to optimise success of the call
  • Record results of calling clearly and in full within the call records system to ensure continuity of contact across the organisation
  • Ensure completion of any post-call follow-up as required
  • Ensure the team all follow relevant company processes to ensure excellence in contacting our customer base

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year customer service / call centre experience
  • Professional telephone manner and customer focussed
  • Maintain a calm and professional approach at all times
  • Demonstrates a professional telephone manner
